Welcome, this site is dedicated to:
"Homebrew Radio & Electronics"
"The Porta-Web" a portable cobweb antenna
This portable cobweb type antenna is cheap and simple to build, most materials used are readily available at DIY stores.
It is light weight and can be erected and packed away in minutes.
Photos and constuction details can be viewed or downloaded here.
The G0NQE-Acorn SDR Receiver kit
Take a look at this new SDR kit by G0NQE, small size; uses no surface mount devices and is simple to construct. Performance is fantastic, the kit covers the 80m band but with some simple links the builder can switch in extra Band pass filters along with a change of crystals to cover other bands.
More information is available in the projects pages.
USB Data Mode Interface.
The D-P/3 is a true USB Data Mode Interface with onboard soundcard, the DC supply is also taken from the usb port; making the D-P/3 ideal for portable use.
This project has been extensively tested on air and has proved to be very versatile and reliable.
Take a look at the D-P/3 in my projects pages, you can dowload the PCB pattern and circuit diagram etc, and build your own version of the D-P/3 USB Data Interface.
All circuit diagrams and PCB patterns on my website are designed by me, unless i state otherwise. They are there for other radio amateurs/enthusiast's to copy free of charge to benefit this wonderful hobby of ours.
I hope you enjoy building this project, if you have any questions just contact me, if i can help i will.
73, Colin G0NQE.
This is the underside view of my homebrew HF/allband Transceiver, I have a lot more photos and a lot more projects to share with you.
So just keep calling back, there may be something here for you, i am hoping to run some full construction projects from this site so call back soon!
Please accept my apologies for the loss of this site from the 16th to the 18th June 2010.
This was due to my lack of knowlege on how to move to a new web host, everything is fine now thanks to Keiron.
